Amadeus Auditions
Audition Information
Seeking actors of all ethnicities for AMADEUS, Peter Shaffer’s Tony Award- and Academy Award-winning drama about ambition, envy, genius, and the price of greatness. At the glittering court of Emperor Joseph II, Antonio Salieri is a respected composer whose position and reputation seem secure. That changes with the arrival of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a brilliant, irreverent, and unpredictable young prodigy whose extraordinary music captivates Vienna. As Salieri becomes increasingly consumed by jealousy and obsession, the two composers are drawn into a rivalry that challenges their beliefs, their ambitions, and their understanding of artistic greatness. Filled with sharp wit, lush language, powerful music, and unforgettable characters, AMADEUS explores what happens when talent, envy, and desire collide. This is a richly theatrical story of artistic ambition and the human need to be remembered.
