Exploring the Light will run from March 13th, 2019 - May 12th, 2019 at the Lone Tree Arts Center and is presented by the Lone Tree Arts Commission and the Lone Tree Photo Club, with support from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).

Jesse Mclaughlin moved to Colorado about 8 years ago from the Pacific Northwest. He started his photographic journey in Colorado by joining the Lone Tree Photography Club. Attending meetings, meetups, overnight trips, and entering their photo competitions. He also became a member of Professional Photographers of Colorado, the state affiliate for Professional Photographers of America, and started competing in their competitions. He eventually served as president of both organizations for sever years.
Jesse owned an art gallery in the Arts District on Santa Fe, in Denver, and has hosted several photo competitions and exhibitions over the years. He has also been awarded Best of Show at Lone Tree Art Center’s Exploring the Light, Photographer of the Year at Professional Photographers of Colorado, and has recently been awarded the degree of Master Photographer by Professional Photographers of America.
Total Cash awards are estimated at $3,250. Best of Show as well as first and second place winners in each category will be awarded gallery space for several weeks at the Lone Tree Arts Center following the photo show. Awards include, first, second and third place in every category, Best of Show and People’s Choice.
Exploring the Light - 2019 Photo Show Book for Purchase
With photographer’s permission, the Lone Tree Photo Club will compose a book with accepted entries representing Exploring the Light 2019. Accepted images will be printed with the photographer’s name and information about the image such as location, camera and the story behind the photo. Exploring the Light will be available for viewing and purchase online after the close of the show in June 2019.
