Sensory Friendly Passport to Culture: Paul Bunyan with the Colorado Symphony

Join the Colorado Symphony Orchestra for a fun storytelling program that serves as an introduction to classical music and instruments of the orchestra.
Our SF programming presents performances in a relaxed, sensory-friendly way. Performers will modify shows to ensure there are no startling noises or visually over-stimulating components. Our team keeps sound levels lower than normal and keeps the lights in the audience higher than normal, ensuring audience members can see each other. Audience members are free to come and go if need be (there is always a "safe room" available) and are asked to wave hands rather than clapping.
Our reopening is based on mandated guidelines through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment:
Face coverings are required as part of the Tri-County Health Department public health order. Remember to keep your face covering over your nose and mouth at all times. If you arrive without a face covering, we’re happy to provide you with one. If you would rather not wear a face covering, you will need to wait to come back until these guidelines are lifted. Face coverings are required for children 10 and older, and are strongly recommended for children 2-10. Children under 2 years old do not need to wear face coverings.
Please stay at least six feet apart from those not in your party. Decals on the floor will indicate distance so you know where it’s safe to stand when in line for tickets, bathrooms, and concessions. Please keep six feet apart when using the rest of the lobby.
Please wash your hands frequently and use the sanitizing stations set up throughout the lobby.
DON’T FEEL WELL?
If your temperature is above 100.4 degrees or you’re not feeling well, please stay home. Our flexible ticketing policy during this time allows for refunds or accounts credits.
Please choose the group that fits your party size. If you don't see a group of seats that fits your party, please contact the Box Office via email or by calling 720-509-1000. It's possible that your party may have to split up in order to be accomodated in the theater.
Whenever possible, please choose print-at-home tickets. You will be able to show your ticket on your phone if you’re unable to print it out.
Please enter the building through the main lobby doors on the east side of the building. If you do not have a ticket, you will be directed to the box office. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance.
The Main Stage Theater, seats, and common touchpoints will be sanitized according to guidance from the CDPHE. Bathrooms will be cleaned once per hour.
