POSTPONED: We have been in contact with Michael Martin Murphey’s manager and together have concluded that his performances this weekend are not feasible, given that Mr. Murphey would have to travel from out of state amid rapidly increasing COVID cases. As a result, we will be postponing both the live and livestream performances originally scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, and are working with Mr. Murphey and his manager to find a new date in the springtime. Ticketholders have been contacted with further information. Please contact the Box Office with any questions.
The original Cosmic Cowboy and Americana pioneer, Michael Martin Murphey, returns to the Arts Center for an intimate solo performance. Murphey launched his recording career from Austin in the early '70s with the classic album Geronimo’s Cadillac and went on to release multiple albums in the ‘70s culminating with the Platinum classic “Wildfire,” from the certified Gold Album Blue Sky Night Thunder. His career shifted to Country music in the ‘80s and he won an ACM Award for New Male Vocalist Of The Year. Over the course of his career, he has had multiple Grammy nominations, three gold albums, and one certified Platinum album. Don’t miss this special evening of hits such as “Geronimo’s Cadillac,” “What’s Forever For,” “Carolina In The Pines,” ”A Long Line of Love,” “Cowboy Logic,” and the Grammy-nominated “A Face in the Crowd.”
There will also be a livestream of the November 14, 8pm performance. TICKETS FOR THE LIVESTREAM ARE AVAILABLE HERE.
