Escape the cold and spend an evening with three Slack Key Guitar Masters, featured regularly at Maui’s renowned “Slack Key Show®,” share Hawai‘i’s unique folk styles, with origins in the early 19th century Hawaiian paniolo (cowboy) culture and evolving into one of the signature sounds of contemporary Hawaiian music: Four-time Grammy-winner and master slack key guitarist George Kahumoku Jr., National Heritage Fellow Led Kaapana, known for his exceptional picking style on guitar and ‘ukulele, and master ukulele and Na Hoku and Hawai’i Music award-winner Herb Ohta, Jr. come together for an evening of songs, stories, and Hawaiian aloha.
