Sensory Friendly Passport to Culture: Reid Belstock - The Jerry Lewis of Juggling
|No events found.|
What is Physical Comedy? It's creating humor through various visual means, like juggling, and giant cartoonish body movement that makes you think you might just have been transported inside of a 3D animated cartoon. Watching Reid juggle three knives, perched on top of a tall unicycle, spinning a trashcan lid upon his head, all the while keeping the audience laughing with a voice that also sounds like that of a cartoon, has been what keeps Reid Belstock’s performance unique, all age friendly, and full of laughter.
Our SF programming presents performances in a relaxed, sensory-friendly way. Performers will modify shows to ensure there are no startling noises or visually over-stimulating components. Our team keeps sound levels lower than normal and keeps the lights in the audience higher than normal, ensuring audience members can see each other. Audience members are free to come and go if need be (there is always a "safe room" available) and are asked to wave hands rather than clapping.
Face coverings are strongly recommended by the CDC while indoors in public spaces, regardless of vaccination status.
