Sensory Inclusive "Excursions" with Cleo II

4pm

About the event

Vibrant, powerful, and passionate, Cleo II brings “Excursions” to the Lone Tree stage, guiding the audience on a journey of discovery through movement. Featured in this performance will be excerpts from “Rhapsody in Black” – a work celebrating the significance of America’s black culture in Paris from the early-to-mid-twentieth century! Join us and see where this journey leads!

What makes these performances sensory-inclusive?
These hour long performances are modified to create a welcoming and supportive environment for children and adults on the autism spectrum as well as individuals with other sensitivity issues or developmental disabilities. Performers and LTAC staff work together to ensure there are no startling noises or visually over-stimulating components. Our team keeps sound levels lower than normal and keeps the lights in the audience higher than normal, ensuring audience members can see each other. Audience members are free to come and go if need be (there is always a “quiet room” available) and are asked to wave hands rather than clapping.
