Sensory Inclusive The Jungle Book

2pm

About the event

Enjoy a new theatrical adaptation of the works of Rudyard Kipling, re-imagining his classic stories through modern eyes. Immersive sound and multimedia will transport you from the urban jungle to relive Mowgli’s childhood in the jungles of India. With Baloo the bear, Bagheera the panther, and more, Jungle Book brings beloved characters to life in a way you’ve never seen before. Eye-popping video, shadow-play, and original music make this family production of Jungle Book “like stepping inside a beautifully illustrated children’s storybook. It’s a MAGICAL experience!”- Sarasota Observer

What makes these performances sensory-inclusive?
These hour long performances are modified to create a welcoming and supportive environment for children and adults on the autism spectrum as well as individuals with other sensitivity issues or developmental disabilities. Performers and LTAC staff work together to ensure there are no startling noises or visually over-stimulating components. Our team keeps sound levels lower than normal and keeps the lights in the audience higher than normal, ensuring audience members can see each other. Audience members are free to come and go if need be (there is always a “quiet room” available) and are asked to wave hands rather than clapping.
