About Us

OUR STORY

Thanks to a bond approved by Lone Tree residents, the Lone Tree Arts Center was built in 2011 as a place where the community could gather to experience the life-changing power of the arts.

Our Mission

The mission of the Lone Tree Arts Center is to produce and present remarkable professional arts experiences; prioritize the patron experience; create arts engagement opportunities for children, seniors, and other underserved communities; and place high value on responsible fiscal stewardship.

A Tradition of Excellence

At our core, the Lone Tree Arts Center operates in a hybrid model – producing award-winning theatrical events and presenting nationally-recognized artists. In the 12 years we have existed as an organization, we have established a reputation for remarkable arts programming, gaining audience and critical acclaim alongside awards such as multiple Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Awards, the Denver Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts, and the SCFD Rex Morgan Award for Innovative Programming.

A Dedication to Accessibility

In addition to a reputation for excellence, we have also established a reputation for offering programs designed to provide powerful arts experiences for anyone wishing to participate. From sensory friendly performances and events for those needing relaxed environments, to workshops for people experiencing early memory loss and their caregivers, the Lone Tree Arts Center is place that welcomes all people.

Our Community Impact

At the core of our programming philosophy is a steadfast dedication to serving all people, regardless of age or ability.  Within our 12-year existence, the Lone Tree Arts Center has established ourselves as a leader and innovator in the realm of sensory inclusive programs – providing an environment for people on the autism spectrum or with other sensory processing issues to experience the power of the arts.  In addition to our community programs, we maintain a commitment to outreach in schools through artist residencies and student matinees.

Community Impact Programs

From seniors and young children to people with disabilities and those experiencing mild memory loss, our community impact programs are designed to provide remarkable arts experiences for those who may not otherwise be able to attend them.

The theater is where we gather to celebrate the many voices that together elevate us through the transformative power of the arts.  We remain committed to fostering an inclusive environment through our programming, focus on patron experience, and engagement opportunities.

Volunteer at the Lone Tree Arts Center

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Lone Tree Arts Center – our dedicated volunteers assist patrons with seating, create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, and are an integral part of our overall operation.

Ushering

All ushers must pass a background check and attend annual training as well as commit to a minimum of twelve shifts per year. The primary goal of our usher program is to provide the best possible experience for our patrons. This includes, but is not limited to, patron safety and evacuation assistance, accessibility assistance, greeting patrons, showing a patron to their seat, and being flexible in jobs responsibilities. All LTAC ushers are volunteers and are trained and supervised by a House Manager. Familiarity with and access to a computer and email is required.

If you are interested in becoming an LTAC usher, please

email Katie Konishi or fill out this form.

Special Events Volunteer

Special Events volunteers help with events throughout Lone Tree that foster a spirit of community. Each summer and fall, events like Independence Day, Summer Concerts, Craftoberfest, and Wag N’Romp require numerous volunteers to help make them happen. Email Us to receive information on upcoming opportunities. You can also fill out this Form.

Arts Commission

Formally incorporated by the Lone Tree City Council in 1999, the Lone Tree Arts Commission is made up of seven civic and culturally minded residents. Since its incorporation, the Arts Commission has developed, supported and assisted various cultural activities and interest groups in the City and acted in an advisory capacity to the Lone Tree City Council through review of arts funding requests, recommendations on acquisition of public art and suggestion on other cultural avenues that may be of interest to the community. The committee meets at 6:30pm the second Wednesday of even months.

Request a Donation of Lone Tree Arts Center Tickets

The Lone Tree Arts Center is happy to support nonprofit organizations through our ticket donation program. Not-for-profit organizations holding fundraising events can request ticket vouchers to a performance at the Lone Tree Arts Center. Requests must be submitted at least two months prior to the fundraiser. We can accommodate one donation per organization per year.

Please note: As a municipally-owned organization, we are unable to provide vouchers to organizations that support religious or political activities.

Our ticket donation priorities are organizations in the Denver Metro area that promote artistic endeavors, public education, and causes of interest to our patrons, such as senior charities, organizations that serve children, and those that serve people with sensory processing concerns and developmental disabilities.

Once your donation request is approved, we will print out a voucher to send to you, along with a season brochure and information about which performances are possible to attend through the voucher.

Please send your request on your organization’s letterhead to makenzie.pedersen@cityoflonetree.com or to:

Please note: We do not accept ticket donations requests by phone; you must submit your request in writing.
