December 16, 1770:  birthdate of Ludwig van Beethoven.  That was 250 years ago, and this year, the exact anniversary falls on a Wednesday.  Lone Tree Arts Center will honor the occasion with a Beethoven-themed online Arts in the Afternoon program.  We’ll welcome the Ivy Street Ensemble – flutist Cathy Peterson, violinist Erik Peterson, and violist Phillip Stevens – with concert host Betsy Schwarm for Beethoven’s Serenade, op. 25, along with music by current American composer Kenji Bunch, whose own Serenade for flute, violin, and viola was inspired by Beethoven’s.  We’ll also hear duos, dance music, and a Beethoven work inspired by Mozart.  You’ll have to provide your own birthday cake, but we’ll have the music, streaming it live to your computer. Please join our celebration of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth!

This will be a professionally produced livestream. We can't send the usual cookies and lemonade over the internet, but we can certainly send the music! Ticket sales end 1 hour before the performance. Please purchase tickets in advance!

This is a "choose what you pay" performance. There are different options for ticket prices and we ask that you purchase a ticket for each individual in your household that will be watching the stream, just like you would if you were purchasing a seat in the theater. Please consider what value this performance has for you when purchasing your ticket. It's true now more than ever that we can't continue to present remarkable programming without your help!

Please be sure to have the most current version of your internet browser and a good internet connection. This performance is live and will not be available to watch once finished, so make sure that you can tune in right at 1:30! Depending on when you purchase tickets, emails with the link to access the performance will be sent at 5pm on the Monday and Tuesday prior to the livestream, and at 12:30pm on the day of the livestream. Unfortunately emails with the link are not auto-generated, so we appreciate your patience! Please contact the BOX OFFICE VIA EMAIL if you think you should have received a link and did not within the above time frame.
