We regret to inform you that due to a power outage at the Arts Center, Arts in the Afternoon: Flamenco Guitar with Maestro René Heredia has been cancelled. We will not be rescheduling this performance. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Legendary local flamenco guitarist René Heredia brings the heart and soul of Spanish gypsy flamenco music to the Main Stage. With roots in Granada, Spain, René was surrounded by masters of flamenco dance and music from birth, became a flamenco guitar virtuoso in his teens, and performed internationally with the world’s most renowned flamenco dancers. Join René for an afternoon of acoustic flamenco music.
Arts in the Afternoon is a monthly hour-long program that usually takes place once a month on a Wednesday afternoon at 1:30pm. The series features some of the finest classical, jazz, opera, and other musicians from the metro Denver area. Each show includes a significant educational component, with the professional musicians or their narrators sharing historical and artistic insights about the music they play. During our in-person performances, you can enjoy complimentary refreshments and conversation with artists after each performance.
