About the event

“It’s a classical movie but a contemporary composition, which gives it a completely different kind of emotional underpinning.” – Michigan Record-Eagle

This 1931 masterpiece of horror was originally released without a musical score, which inspired composer Michael Shapiro to fill in the void by creating an original new soundtrack. As the classic film plays on the big screen, Jacinda Bouton of the Lone Tree Symphony will conduct Shapiro’s gorgeous and atmospheric score, making this the ultimate audience experience for a truly iconic film. For today’s audiences, Shapiro’s haunting music adds significantly to the emotional impact of the film.
