Senior Programming

Arts in the Afternoon is a monthly hour-long program that usually takes place once a month on a Wednesday afternoon at 1:30pm. The series features some of the finest classical, jazz, opera, and other musicians from the metro Denver area. Each show includes a significant educational component, with the professional musicians or their narrators sharing historical and artistic insights about the music they play. During our in-person performances, you can enjoy complimentary refreshments and conversation with artists after each performance.

We also offer senior matinees of all our theatrical plays and musicals. These performances are also scheduled on Wednesdays at 1:30pm and are fully staged productions of our Theatrical Series shows.

To book a group, please contact Ashley Vander Weg at (720) 509-1027 or ashley.vanderweg@cityoflonetree.com.

Virtual Arts in the Afternoon

These are professionally produced livestreams that you can enjoy from home. We can't send the usual cookies and lemonade over the internet, but we can certainly send the music! Ticket sales for these virtual performance are currently available online only. Ticket sales cut off 1 hour before the performance. Please purchase tickets in advance!

These are "choose what you pay" performances. There are different options for ticket prices and we ask that you purchase a ticket for each individual in your household that will be watching the stream, just like you would if you were purchasing a seat in the theater. Please consider what value this performance has for you when purchasing your ticket. It's true now more than ever that we can't continue to present remarkable programming without your help!

Please be sure to have the most current version of your internet browser and a good internet connection. These performances are live, so make sure that you can tune in right at 1:30!
